*SAMPLE SALE* Manolo Blahnik

The master behind classy stilettos, Manolo Blahnik, is hosting their New York City sample sale today. This will be one of two sample sales the brand will be holding this fall. Whichever sale you decide to attend, you and your shoe closet are in for a real bargain treat!

The label's legendary NYC sample sale is back at the Warwick Hotel today! Manolo manias who attended the brand's last sample sale found basic styles like BBs discounted as low as $100 and sizes ranging from 35 to 42. You can see the complete price list and photos from that sale by reading the full Mizhattan report from May.

If you miss out on today's 1-day New York City sale, there is another Manolo sample sale to look forward to. The event will be hosted by George Malkemus and Anthony Yurgaitis (the top two execs at the company) at the University of Connecticut campus on Saturday, November 14th (big thanks to Grace at UConn). Apparently, the business duo also own a dairy farm in Connecticut and have been hosting sales there to raise funds for agricultural scholarships. This upcoming November sale in CT is also for a good cause and that is to provide financial aid for UConn animal science students. Shoe prices will range from $150 to $450.

  6. SALE UPDATE: As usual, sizes 35~42 are available at the sample sale. Plenty of 37~38 still on the tables. 35~36 and 39~40 are picked over. However there are some shoes still inside plastic bins that haven't been put out yet. There is no wait to get inside the sale. Basic shoes are now $125 and that means all shoes are taxed.

  7. Miz do you think this sale has better than CT will. Not sure I will make it back to the city in time.

    1. That's a toughie. Prices for basic shoes are $25 lower than what they will be at CT sale.

    2. If you can't make it back to the city in time just settle for ct because a sample sale is a sample sale. For sure it will have better prices than paying full retail. Or you can wait until boutique sale.

  10. SALE UPDATE: As of 12:00pm, there is still no wait to get inside. That should change very soon with the lunch crowd so get a move on it if you haven't already!

  11. There are no 7.5 no 8 and no 8.5 left. Manolo needs to limit how many shoes ppl can buy. It is unfair that ppl come in and buy 10000 pairs of shoes to re-sell. Seriously not cool

  12. Nuts! Can't leave work right now. Can anyone tell me if its worth going around 4? Thx

    1. If everything is not sold by that time, it may be SLIM pickens!! Although I work three blocks away and got there at 11:45, I should have left as soon as I saw the notification. The shoes that some women had in their hands by the time I arrived, made me sad. Just glad I was able to take an early lunch.

  21. I don't understand the craziness over this brand. UGLY shoes. There are so many other designers and brands out there that are gorgeous works of art. Do you like it because a celebrity wore them on a TV show?!

  23. To all of you wondering about the CT sale, its not really worth it. I've been the past two times (2013 and this past august) and they were the same shoes each time. 2013 they were cheaper - prices starting at 100-250 and this past August the same shoes with prices starting at 150 going all the way up to 400. You have to get there earlyish, around 6:30am. Personally the NYC sale is better, but the CT sale benefits the Arethusa scholarship for UCONN. They raised a good bit of money this past time.

    3. harlem77 i would go if you're looking for something ornate or unique, not for neutrals.

  24. ^^ Also if you're an 8, i wouldn't go - they only had one table last time.

    1. hi Anon. -- -did they have basics at the UCONN sale? like black and neutrals, or just solid colors?

    2. They had a few of them but only in smaller sizes (5-6.5) but they were satin bb's

  25. This sale was disappointment. First price climbed 36% up. Selection was not interesting at all. Basic old models.
By the way, info for those who worry about re-sale. Few years ago I bought here one pair of basic pumps $100, realized that it is tide and put it on ebay. To buy it I spent 4 hours in line outside the hotel. Guess what: I never was lucky to sell this unworn new Manolo pumps size 37. So, do not think it is so easy.
